Pleo has three life stages: birthing, hatchling, and juvenile. In each successive life stage he exhibits more complex and unique behavior.
Average Duration: 5 to 10 minutes
Pleo opens his eyes for the first time and acclimates to his surroundings. His movements are slow and he is largely unresponsive. With petting and encouragement, Pleo will become fully awake and stand up on his feet. The more Pleo is nurtured during the birthing stage, the faster he will develop and gain confidence.
Average Duration: About 45 minutes
Over the remainder of his first charge, Pleo will learn to express himself — showing his feelings and emotion through his behavior. Pleo will be very talkative, walk around and explore his environment, ask for food, and nap like a baby.
Average Duration: 2nd charge and beyond
Pleo exhibits his full range of behavior and movement. Pleo will show his unique personality, using his body and face to convey his emotions in a familiar and understandable way. He'll also showcase his capacity to learn new tricks.
